Liam Coutu, a 2006-born player who started the season with the USPHL Premier’s Elmira Impact, has moved up to the Pueblo Bulls of the NCDC and it certainly appears that he is there to stay. Coutu has been a point-per-game player with the Bulls since joining just prior to Dec. 6, and he has remained there for three weekends, posting three goals and three assists for six points in six games. Coutu registered an assist on the opening goal of the Bulls’ Dec. 6 game against Casper. The next day, Coutu scored a thrilling last-minute game-winning goal and also added an assist.

Coutu is just one of 95 Premier players who have also seen time up at the NCDC so far in 2024-25!

Coutu played in 20 games with Elmira, scoring 25 goals and adding 33 assists for 58 points. He still ranks in the top 10 for points in the USPHL Premier, even without having played any games at that level in December.

“It’s great to see Liam find instant success at the NCDC level. He was a player that grew each and every month here as a player. He has a rare mix of size and skill which has allowed him to have success at both the Premier and NCDC levels,” said Glen Patterson, Head Coach of the Elmira Impact. “It was a pleasure to work with such a competitive athlete. As a staff we look forward to watching his journey”
